Alabama stormed back from an early deficit to dominate Vanderbilt 30-14, scoring 23 unanswered points in the second half. The Commodores shocked the crowd at Bryant-Denny Stadium with Sedrick Alexander's 65-yard touchdown run in the opening quarter, but Ty Simpson rallied the Crimson Tide with two touchdown passes before halftime. Alabama's defense locked down in the second half while Conor Talty connected on three field goals before Jam Miller's late touchdown run sealed the victory.
