TCU cruised to a 42-21 victory over Abilene Christian behind Josh Hoover's four touchdown passes, including two to receiver Ed Small. The Horned Frogs built a commanding 28-0 halftime lead before the Wildcats showed signs of life with three second-half touchdowns. Despite Stone Earle throwing for two late scores in the fourth quarter, Abilene Christian couldn't overcome TCU's balanced attack that featured rushing touchdowns from both Trent Battle and Jon Denman.
