Recap

SMU dominated Stanford 34-10 in a comprehensive home victory at Gerald J. Ford Stadium, with quarterback Kevin Jennings connecting on two touchdown passes. Chris Johnson Jr. delivered an explosive performance, scoring on both an 87-yard touchdown run and a 42-yard reception, while the Mustangs' defense sealed the deal with Justin Medlock's 96-yard interception return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter. Stanford struggled to generate offense throughout, managing just a late second-quarter touchdown pass from Ben Gulbranson to CJ Williams and a third-quarter field goal.
