Old Dominion dominated Liberty 21-7 behind quarterback Colton Joseph's stellar three-touchdown passing performance. The Monarchs built a commanding 14-0 lead in the second quarter with Joseph connecting with TJ Johnson and Ja'Cory Thomas before the Flames briefly narrowed the gap with Julian Gray's third-quarter touchdown run. Thomas sealed the victory early in the fourth quarter, hauling in his second score of the night on an explosive 55-yard strike from Joseph.
