The Thundering Herd rallied for a 42-28 road victory over Middle Tennessee, scoring 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter after trailing 28-21. Marshall quarterback Carlos Del Rio-Wilson delivered a masterful performance with four touchdown passes, including two to Toby Payne, and added a rushing touchdown. The Blue Raiders briefly held the lead after Nicholas Vattiato's third-quarter touchdown run and two-point conversion, but couldn't withstand Marshall's explosive final-frame comeback.
