Recap

Navy dominated on the ground, securing a 21-13 victory over Rice with Blake Horvath punching in two rushing touchdowns to lead the Midshipmen attack. The Midshipmen built a commanding 14-0 halftime lead and extended it to 21-3 in the fourth quarter before the Owls mounted a late comeback attempt. Rice showed signs of life with a Jenkins-to-Dickmann touchdown pass and a late field goal, but the rally fell short as Navy's rushing attack proved too powerful at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
