Recap

Wake Forest dominated Oregon State 39-14 at Reser Stadium behind quarterback Deshawn Purdie's four touchdown passes, including three to receiver Chris Barnes. The Demon Deacons built a commanding 32-0 lead through three quarters, with Barnes scoring on strikes of 36, 11, and 55 yards. Oregon State finally showed signs of life in the fourth quarter with touchdowns from Cornell Hatcher Jr. and David Wells Jr., but Demond Claiborne's explosive 66-yard touchdown run quickly extinguished any comeback hopes.
