Louisiana Tech seized control early and never looked back in a 30-20 Rivalry in Dixie victory over Southern Miss. The Bulldogs built a commanding 30-10 halftime lead behind three rushing touchdowns and Kolbe Fields' 48-yard interception return for a score. Despite Braylon Braxton connecting on two touchdown passes for the Golden Eagles, including a 34-yarder to Carl Chester in the final minute, Southern Miss couldn't overcome Louisiana Tech's dominant first-half performance.
