Recap

Vanderbilt shocked LSU with a 31-24 upset victory at FirstBank Stadium, led by quarterback Diego Pavia who accounted for three touchdowns including two rushing scores. The Commodores built a 31-21 lead heading into the fourth quarter behind a balanced attack that kept the Tigers' defense off balance all afternoon. Despite a valiant effort from LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier, who connected with Zavion Thomas on a 62-yard touchdown strike, Vanderbilt's defense held firm in the final quarter to secure the win.
