Recap

East Carolina held off Pittsburgh 23-17 at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, weathering multiple lead changes behind quarterback Chaston Ditta and receiver Anthony Smith. Smith hauled in two touchdown passes from Ditta—a 47-yarder and a 72-yarder—while kicker Nick Mazzie added three field goals to provide crucial cushion. Despite a fumble return touchdown by Pittsburgh's Rasheem Biles and a late field goal that cut the deficit to six, the Pirates defense stood strong to secure the victory.
