Maryland dominated in-state FCS opponent Towson 44-17, building a commanding 34-0 halftime lead behind rushing touchdowns from DeJuan Williams, Malik Washington, and Nolan Ray. The Terrapins' defensive highlight came when La'khi Roland returned an interception 100 yards for a touchdown early in the third quarter. Towson finally broke through with three second-half scores, including Jaceon Doss's electric 84-yard touchdown reception from Nathan Kent, but it was far too little too late.
