The RedHawks dominated Akron with a commanding 20-7 road win at InfoCision Stadium, shutting out the Zips until late in the fourth quarter. Miami (OH) built their lead methodically, starting with Dom Dzioban's field goal before D'Shawntae Jones punched in a short touchdown run and Dequan Finn connected with Kam Perry on an explosive 60-yard scoring strike. The Zips avoided the shutout when Ben Finley found Israel Polk for a 5-yard touchdown, but it was too little too late against the RedHawks' overwhelming performance.
