Recap

New Mexico secured a thrilling 23-17 overtime victory over San Diego State as Jack Layne connected with Cade Keith on a decisive 25-yard touchdown pass. The Lobos jumped to an early lead before the Aztecs stormed back to take a 14-10 halftime advantage. D.J. McKinney's explosive 54-yard touchdown run in the third quarter helped New Mexico regain momentum in a back-and-forth battle that saw three lead changes before ultimately being settled in the extra period.
