Recap

Duke flexed its offensive muscle in a dominant 45-17 season-opening victory over Elon at Wallace Wade Stadium. Quarterback Darian Mensah torched the Phoenix defense with three touchdown passes, including two to Sahmir Hagans, while the Blue Devils pulled away with a 21-point fourth quarter explosion. Special teams joined the scoring party when Que'Sean Brown electrified the home crowd with a 78-yard punt return touchdown to put the game out of reach.
