Missouri State vs Southern Methodist

The Mustangs held off a scrappy Missouri State squad 34-24 at Gerald J. Ford Stadium, improving their record in what turned into a closer contest than expected. SMU built enough cushion to withstand the Bears' late push, showcasing the offensive firepower that's become their calling card this season. The 197-play battle kept fans on their feet as both teams traded blows throughout the afternoon in Dallas. Missouri State refused to go quietly, making things interesting down the stretch and proving they could hang with an Atlantic Coast opponent. But the Mustangs' home-field advantage proved crucial, as they made the key plays when it mattered most. SMU gets the W in front of their faithful, while the Bears head back to Conference USA with their heads held high after a gutsy performance.
