Roosevelt exploded for 17 second-quarter points, including Keron Pryor's 28-yard pick-six, to seize control and defeat Chicago State 44-28 at SeatGeek Stadium. Tony Chahino sparked the Lakers' aerial attack with three touchdown passes, while Jaden Bossie delivered both ways with a 19-yard receiving TD and a explosive 54-yard scoring run in the third quarter. The Cougars' Ashton Pannell threw three touchdown passes in the loss, but couldn't overcome Roosevelt's dominant second quarter that turned a 7-3 deficit into a commanding 27-14 halftime advantage.
