Recap

The Trojans put on an offensive showcase at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum, rolling past San Jose State 42-26 in front of the home crowd. USC's attack proved too much for the visiting Spartans, as the Big Ten squad built a comfortable cushion and controlled the tempo throughout the night. San Jose State showed fight and managed to put up 26 points, but the Mountain West visitors couldn't keep pace with USC's firepower. The Trojans' balanced performance highlighted the difference in this cross-conference matchup, securing a convincing home victory to energize their faithful in Los Angeles.
