Recap

Southern Miss absolutely dominated Alcorn State in a 49-3 blowout at M.M. Roberts Stadium, putting on a clinic in front of the home crowd in Hattiesburg. The Golden Eagles controlled this one from start to finish, turning 189 total plays into a statement victory that showcased their superiority on both sides of the ball. The Braves managed just a field goal against a relentless Southern Miss defense that made life miserable all afternoon. This Sun Belt squad left no doubt, turning what could have been a competitive non-conference matchup into a one-sided affair. The Golden Eagles proved they're ready to make noise this season with this complete performance.
