Recap

Boston College held off a determined Rutgers squad 28-21 at Alumni Stadium in a hard-fought cross-conference battle. The Eagles built enough cushion to withstand a spirited push from the Scarlet Knights, who kept fighting until the final whistle. With 174 plays of back-and-forth action, this one had the intensity of a playoff atmosphere in Chestnut Hill. The victory showcases Boston College's grit in a competitive Atlantic Coast matchup against Big Ten opposition. The Eagles protected their home turf when it mattered most, finishing strong to secure the seven-point win. Rutgers showed plenty of fight but couldn't complete the comeback, falling just short in a game that delivered drama from start to finish.
