Recap
Youngstown State captured a 28-16 Missouri Valley road victory over Southern Illinois behind a dominant second-half surge. After the Penguins took a slim 10-7 halftime lead, quarterback Beau Brungard sparked the takeover with an 11-play scoring drive capped by his 1-yard touchdown run, then immediately connected with Austin Bray on a 20-yard strike just 82 seconds later to stretch the lead to 21-10. Jaden Gilbert's 6-yard rushing touchdown early in the fourth quarter sealed it for the Penguins, who held off a late Southern Illinois rally.
