Recap

Appalachian State delivered an absolute statement performance at Kidd Brewer Stadium, demolishing Maine 55-3 in a game that was never in doubt. The Mountaineers dominated from the opening whistle, showcasing the gulf between Sun Belt power and CAA competition as they rolled up points relentlessly throughout the afternoon in Boone. The Black Bears had no answers for Appalachian State's explosive attack, managing just a field goal while surrendering 55 unanswered points in a thorough dismantling. This wasn't just a win — it was a commanding display of superiority that sent a clear message about the Mountaineers' championship aspirations this season.
