Recap

Kent State dominated Ball State 26-13 at Dix Stadium in a Mid-American Conference showdown that was never really in doubt. The Golden Flashes controlled the tempo from the opening kick, building a comfortable lead and never letting the Cardinals find their rhythm on either side of the ball. Ball State showed some fight but couldn't string together enough stops to make this one competitive. Kent State's defense clamped down when it mattered most, forcing the Cardinals into frustrating three-and-outs and keeping them out of the end zone for long stretches. The Golden Flashes executed their game plan to perfection, sending the home crowd at Dix Stadium home happy with a convincing MAC victory.
