Recap
SMU absolutely dominated California in a stunning 59-20 blowout at Gerald J. Ford Stadium, announcing their arrival in the Atlantic Coast Conference with authority. The Mustangs were relentless from start to finish, piling up points and controlling every phase of the game in front of their home crowd in Dallas. The Golden Bears had no answers for SMU's explosive offense, falling behind early and never recovering. This wasn't just a win—it was a statement game for the Mustangs, who showed they're ready to compete at the highest level in their new conference home. California will need to regroup quickly after this tough road loss.
