Texas-San Antonio vs Rice

The UTSA Roadrunners escaped Houston with a nail-biting 16-14 victory over Rice at First Community Stadium in a defensive slugfest that came down to the wire. In an American Conference battle where every possession mattered, UTSA's defense stood tall when it counted most, holding off a scrappy Owls squad that refused to go away quietly. Rice made the Roadrunners earn every single yard in this 187-play marathon, keeping things close throughout and giving themselves chances to steal it late. But UTSA found just enough offense to edge ahead and maintain that razor-thin two-point advantage. The Roadrunners proved they can win ugly when the offense sputters, while the Owls showed they can hang with anyone at home despite coming up just short in this heartbreaker.
