Recap
The Virginia Tech Hokies stormed into SECU Stadium and handed the Maryland Terrapins a 35-26 defeat in a hard-fought ACC-Big Ten clash. In a back-and-forth battle that featured 195 plays of relentless action, the Hokies proved they could win on the road when it mattered most, building enough cushion to hold off the Terrapins down the stretch. Maryland fought valiantly on their home turf in College Park, but couldn't overcome Virginia Tech's balanced attack. The Hokies' nine-point victory margin doesn't fully capture how competitive this matchup was throughout—both teams traded blows all game long. Virginia Tech walks away with a quality road win, while the Terrapins will need to regroup after coming up short at home.
