Recap
Lamar escaped Moscow with a 23-17 victory over Idaho, thanks to a dominant second quarter that saw the Cardinals erupt for 17 unanswered points. Aiden McCown sparked the surge with a 3-yard rushing touchdown before hitting Davin Driskell for a 15-yard scoring strike just before halftime, while Andres Sandoval connected on three field goals including a clutch 45-yarder in the fourth quarter. The Vandals battled back with fourth-quarter scores from Ferrari Miller and Joshua Wood, but couldn't complete the comeback as Lamar's second-quarter explosion proved decisive.
