Recap
McNeese held off a furious fourth-quarter rally to escape Natchitoches with a 24-21 Southland Conference victory over Northwestern State. The Cowboys seized control with back-to-back third-quarter touchdowns—Omiri Wiggins' 6-yard run and Jake Strong's 37-yard strike to Kevin Rideau—building a 17-7 advantage. Hutch Swilley's 2-yard plunge extended the lead to 24-7 early in the fourth, but the Demons stormed back with two late scores, including Zach Wilcke's 28-yard touchdown pass to Camryn Davis with just 17 seconds remaining, making it a nail-biter before McNeese secured the win.
