New Mexico State vs Hawai'i

The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors defended their island home with a gritty 29-19 victory over the New Mexico State Aggies at Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex. In a battle between Mountain West and Conference USA squads, the Rainbow Warriors controlled the tempo throughout, building enough cushion to withstand a late Aggies push. Hawaii's defense came up big when it mattered most, keeping New Mexico State out of the end zone during crucial stretches. Playing under the Honolulu lights, the Rainbow Warriors showed why home-field advantage in paradise is so difficult to overcome. New Mexico State fought hard but couldn't string together enough scoring drives to threaten Hawaii's lead down the stretch. The 10-point victory keeps the Rainbow Warriors' momentum rolling as they continue their season in front of the home faithful.
