UAB survived a gritty battle at Protective Stadium, holding off Louisiana-Monroe 26-20 in a hard-fought American Conference showdown. The Blazers needed every bit of home-field advantage to fend off the scrappy Warhawks, who kept things competitive throughout all 173 plays of back-and-forth action. The six-point margin doesn't tell the whole story of a game that saw both defenses dig in when it mattered most.
