Recap
Nicholls stormed back from a 21-17 deficit to defeat Northwestern State 31-27 in this Southland Conference thriller at Turpin Stadium. Chase Richardson connected with Greg Donaldson for a crucial 35-yard touchdown early in the fourth quarter to give the Colonels a 31-21 lead they would never relinquish. Despite Zach Wilcke's three total touchdowns for the Demons, including an 82-yard bomb to Amaaz Eugene on a quick three-play scoring drive, Northwestern State's late rally fell just short after a failed two-point conversion with 4:24 remaining.
