Recap

Michigan absolutely dismantled Saint Louis in this Second Round matchup, cruising to a 95-72 victory at KeyBank Center. The No. 1 seed Wolverines controlled the game from start to finish, building a commanding 25-point lead at their peak. Michigan's defense was suffocating—the Billikens endured a brutal 42-play scoring drought in the first half as the Wolverines methodically pulled away with key runs of 13-2 and 10-2 that extended their advantage. Saint Louis never found a rhythm offensively and couldn't mount any serious comeback threat. The Billikens staged a few brief rallies with lead changes early, but once Michigan's defense locked in, it was one-way traffic. The Wolverines closed out decisively, with Oscar Goodman adding clutch baskets down the stretch to put this one firmly out of reach. Michigan's dominant performance sends them deep into March with a convincing tournament statement.
