Recap

Creighton looked like they were in trouble early, trailing 20-10 after Rutgers' hot start at MGM Grand Garden Arena. But the Bluejays refused to panic. They unleashed an 11-2 run to flip the script and never looked back, taking a 31-28 halftime lead into the break. The momentum stayed with Creighton—they extended their dominance with a devastating 12-2 scoring run in the second half (40-37 to 52-39) that put Rutgers away for good. The Scarlet Knights couldn't recover. Creighton's lead ballooned to as much as 17 points, and despite Rutgers' best efforts down the stretch, the Bluejays' control never wavered. Creighton held firm to secure an 82-69 victory in the College Basketball Crown First Four at the neutral site, advancing with a comeback win that showed exactly why they came in favored.
