Recap

Houston showed exactly why they're a No. 2 seed, dismantling Texas A&M 88-57 in the South Region Second Round at the Paycom Center. The Cougars' defense was suffocating, forcing the Aggies into a devastating 67-play scoring drought in the first half. Houston capitalized with relentless offensive bursts, including a brutal 21-2 run that turned a one-point game into a 46-26 blowout. The Cougars' dominance was complete—they'd eventually build a 31-point lead and never looked back. Texas A&M simply had no answer for Houston's intensity. The Aggies struggled mightily from the field, hit another rough patch with a 32-play drought, and never mounted any real threat down the stretch. This wasn't a tournament upset—the No. 2 seed proved they're a serious threat, flexing their muscle on the big stage and advancing with an emphatic 31-point victory to keep their Elite Eight dreams alive.
