Recap

UConn absolutely dismantled North Carolina in the Regional Semifinals, cruising to a dominant 63-42 victory at Dickies Arena. The Huskies' defense was suffocating, forcing the Tar Heels into a brutal 74-play scoring drought in the second period that proved devastating. UConn capitalized with a devastating 19-2 run that pushed their lead to 40-20, establishing complete control and never looking back. The Huskies extended their dominance in the third quarter with another clinical 9-2 run that stretched the margin to 50-27. North Carolina had no answers for UConn's relentless defense and efficient offense, which built a massive 25-point lead at one point. As the top seed, UConn lived up to expectations, systematically dismantling the fourth seed to advance deeper into the tournament.
