Recap

South Carolina put on a defensive masterclass, dominating TCU from start to finish to punch their ticket to the Final Four. The No. 1 seed Gamecocks led 35-27 at halftime, then absolutely took over in the third quarter with a devastating 16-2 run that turned a tight game into a rout. By the time the dust settled, South Carolina had built a 26-point lead and cruised to a 78-52 Elite 8 victory at the neutral site in Sacramento. TCU simply couldn't find any rhythm offensively, suffering through a brutal scoring drought in the fourth quarter that sealed their fate. The Horned Frogs managed just two baskets over nearly three minutes down the stretch as the Gamecocks' stifling defense shut down every avenue to the basket. This is South Carolina basketball at its best—controlled, relentless, and headed to Minneapolis.
