Recap

Texas absolutely dominated Kentucky from start to finish in the Regional Semifinals, cruising to a 76-54 victory at Dickies Arena. The Longhorns came out firing with a devastating 17-2 run to open the game, then added another 10-2 burst to build a commanding lead early. Texas never looked back, eventually stretching their advantage to 25 points and controlling the tempo throughout the tournament matchup. The second half was a defensive grind, with both teams struggling to find rhythm—Kentucky went 36 consecutive plays without scoring during a brutal stretch in the third quarter. But Texas sealed it with a composed 9-2 run late in the fourth, with Sarah Graves converting free throws down the stretch to ice the game at 76-54. This was a complete performance from the No. 1 seed, who overwhelmed the fifth-seeded Wildcats and advanced deeper into March.
