Recap

Notre Dame pulled off a stunning upset in the Regional Semifinals, edging No. 2 seed Vanderbilt 67-64 at Dickies Arena. The Fighting Irish built a commanding 12-point lead early, but the Commodores clawed back with a devastating 9-2 run in the fourth quarter to tie it at 59. The lead swapped hands multiple times down the stretch as both teams traded baskets in a back-and-forth thriller. With the game hanging in the balance, Aubrey Galvan tied it at 64 with two clutch free throws at the 0:56 mark. But Cassandre Prosper answered the call for Notre Dame, hitting a layup with 0:22 remaining and sealing the win at the free-throw line. The Fighting Irish's defense locked down Vanderbilt in crunch time, holding the Commodores scoreless on their final possession to complete the upset and advance to the Elite Eight.
