Southern Illinois center Matt Griffith brings veteran steadiness to the Salukis
Matt Griffith is a senior center for Southern Illinois, listed at 6-2 and 268 pounds, with a long college resume that includes being part of a line that ranked second in the MVFC in fewest sacks allowed in 2014. He stands out more for reliability, leverage, and line-call steadiness than flash, which is exactly what you want from the brain of the offensive front. His Marion, Illinois roots and all-conference high school background add to the “local tough guy” vibe—steady, smart, and built for trench work.
