Lauren Betts is UCLA’s paint boss: efficient, elite, and impossible to ignore
In the 2025-26 season, Lauren Betts was UCLA’s engine inside, averaging 17.1 points, 8.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 2.1 blocks, and 58.2% shooting while leading the Bruins in scoring and rebounding[1][2][13]. Her calling card is rare two-way impact for a center: she scores efficiently, protects the rim, moves the ball well for a post player, and has earned major recognition, including repeated Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year honors[2][15]. If you want a high-IQ anchor who changes the game on both ends, she’s the real deal.
