Emory Fluhr brings old-school tackling juice to Pitt’s linebacker room
In the 2024 season at Lampeter-Strasburg, Emory Fluhr piled up 173 tackles, 5 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, and an interception, then joined Pitt in June 2025 as a preferred walk-on/redshirt freshman linebacker[1][11]. His calling card is obvious: relentless run-stopping, sideline-to-sideline speed, and a feel for reading keys and closing downhill, with scouts also noting pass-coverage flashes and toughness from a big junior-to-senior jump[6][10]. He’s still developing physically at roughly 6-1, 200, but if you want a high-motor, high-IQ defender who can help on special teams and grow into multiple linebacker spots, he’s a legit fit[1][6][13].
