Nate Dyman brings downhill toughness and production to UTEP’s linebacker room
Nate Dyman is a strong fit for a defense that wants a physical, tackle-first linebacker who can finish plays and flash in the backfield. In the 2024 season at UTEP, he posted 84 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 9.5 tackles for loss and 4 pass breakups, and UTEP’s own coverage highlighted a career-high nine-tackle game plus his first career fumble recovery. He arrived with a proven junior-college résumé at Blinn, where he led the team with 88 tackles in 2022, so the takeaway is clear: he’s a tone-setter with proven production and sneaky playmaking juice.
