Ray Guy-Worthy Punter Who Transformed Texas Punting
Jack Bouwmeester, a 6'3" Australian forward-line convert, is a 44.5-yard average punter (2025 season) who turned Texas’s disastrous 2024 punting unit into a Ray Guy Award watch-list contender. His differentiators include elite 50+ yard boom capability (19 in 2025), pinpoint inside-the-20 control (20 landings), and a calm, data-driven personality that thrives under pressure. With no injury history and an intensity level that matches his 4.5 punts/game output, he’s a perfect fit for teams needing immediate, reliable punting stability. His transition from Aussie Rules to FBS football proves his adaptability and football IQ.
