Jaysen Quartey brings instant-impact juice at Central State
Quartey has already flashed as a true freshman in the 2026 season, including a 94-yard kickoff return touchdown against Morehouse and 152 kickoff-return yards on 3 attempts, a sign of real open-field burst and game-breaking special-teams value.[5][11] At 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds, he looks like a quick-twitch, high-energy playmaker who can help a roster in multiple ways even before his receiving résumé fully develops.[13][14] For a team needing speed, return ability, and upside, he’s the kind of athlete worth getting excited about.
