Towson’s Seydou Konate brings size, experience, and a JUCO edge to the DL rotation
In the 2025 season at Monroe C.C., Seydou Konate played in four games and posted 7 tackles with 1.5 tackles for loss before arriving at Towson for 2026; the Tigers list him at 6-foot-3, 295 pounds as a junior defensive lineman. His appeal is the frame and trench toughness: he looks built to absorb blocks, hold his ground, and give Towson a physical interior presence with some upside as he settles into the FCS level. The fit question is simple—if a team wants size, power, and a hungry transfer with room to grow, Konate is a very reasonable bet.
