High-upside Iowa DB whose promise was cut short by injury
Teegan Davis arrived at Iowa with real two-way-playmaker juice from Princeton, where he starred at quarterback and defensive back and piled up all-state honors, 52 tackles, and eight interceptions as a senior in 2022. He was listed by recruiting services as a developmental defensive back prospect, and Iowa’s own roster bio says he did not see game action in 2023 or 2024. The big differentiator is athletic versatility and ball production; the big caution sign is durability, because a 2026 report said he medically retired after battling back from a serious knee injury.
