Young Arkansas State back with legit burst and room to grow
In the 2025 season, Kameron Thomas flashed in limited work for Arkansas State, carrying 8 times for 38 yards with a long run of 23 yards, and he also showed he can handle bigger volume after rushing for 35 yards on 5 carries against Arkansas. The former Zachary HS standout arrived with a strong prep résumé, including 1,579 all-purpose yards and 17 touchdowns as a senior, and he brings compact size, downhill burst, and freshman upside. He’s not a finished product yet, but as a developmental RB with pop, he’s the kind of low-cost, high-upside addition teams like to bet on.
