Michael MacNeill is a leverage-first interior disruptor for Portland State
Michael MacNeill’s value for Portland State comes from the dirty-work traits coaches love in a DL: he’s a quick, disruptive interior lineman with a strong core and leverage, and the staff specifically said in 2022 he should “hold the point with ease.” In the 2023 season, he played in 10 games and logged 10 tackles as a backup defensive lineman, and his 2023 production also included pressure/support value beyond the box score. He looks like a sturdy, physical fit for a team wanting inside toughness, not just splash plays.
