Maxceon Cobb brings live-leg consistency and freshman-to-junior staying power to South Carolina State
Cobb, a 5-foot-10, 185-pound punter from Orlando, has held South Carolina State’s job through multiple seasons and entered 2025 as the Bulldogs’ No. 36 punter.[2][15] In 2024, he averaged 42.8 yards on 4 punts with a long of 50, and his career mark sits at 38.3 yards over 55 punts with a 70-yard bomb, showing a solid ceiling even if the week-to-week workload has been light.[2][5] He first arrived with buzz as a top-5 national punter in high school and South Carolina State liked his ability to step in immediately.[3]
