Joe Labas is a high-volume, efficient CMU playmaker with real starting-QB juice
In the 2025 season, Joe Labas emerged as Central Michigan’s engine, completing 147 of 208 passes for 1,854 yards, 13 touchdowns and 6 interceptions while giving the Chippewas a steady, veteran hand at quarterback.[12][14] His calling card is efficiency and calm under fire — he finished 2025 with a strong 70.7% completion rate and a 160.4 passer rating, and CMU notes he capped his run with a school-record 144.1 career rating.[9][12] He won’t wow you with rushing production, but if a team wants accuracy, poise and a QB who protects the football, he’s a very playable fit.[9][12]
