David Hutzelman brings veteran linebacker value, but current 2026 impact data is thin
David Hutzelman’s publicly available football trail is hard to pin to Miami (OH)’s current roster, but the name is tied to the RedHawks as a linebacker and older Miami roster records list a 6-foot-2, 205-pound LB from Lakota West[13]. The strongest current takeaway is that Miami (OH) is again fielding a defense that rates well nationally in 2026, so any linebacker earning snaps in that room has to be assignment-clean, physical, and reliable in space[10]. If you want a low-drama, toughness-first fit, this profile points that way; if you need a heavily profiled, stat-stuffed star, the public trail does not show that yet[13][10].
